The Report Explorer shows the elements that comprise a report.
The structure of the report is divided into the following parts:
Report: Displays the bands and controls of a report in a tree hierarchy.
You can use Report Explorer to configure the front-to-back order that controls are rendered. This is useful if the layout has overlapping controls. Controls that are higher in the list will draw over those lower in the list. To change the drawing order, drag a control to a different location in the list.
You can open the properties of an item by selecting an item in the explorer and clicking the Edit button. For complex items like the Table Control or Panel Control , it may be easier to select the item in the Report Explorer rather than in the Layout.
Styles: Displays a list of styles configured in the report.
To add a new style, click . Expand the Styles heading to show the new style, and then click the Edit button to configure the properties of the new style. For more information see Styles.
