Geocortex Mobile Designer UI

Mobile Designer is where you configure, deploy, build, and begin the distribution of GXM Apps.

Name of the Application - The name that you entered for this app when you saved it.

Localization drop-down list - Allows for localization of your App.

Taskbar - A list of icons that allow you to select high-level tasks. Clicking the icon displays a panel containing tools you need to accomplish each task, for example, creating a new app, deploying an app to testing or production or opening the Help.

Filter - Filters the list of components to enable you to find a specific one.

Panel name - The name of this panel of configuration options.

Configuration options menu - Displays the menu that allows you to import components from other apps or the default template, or to export them, or revert a component configuration to the default settings.

Configure Components - A list of components that you click to open panels containing tools that you use to configure those components for your app, for example, by adding the reference to your Esri web map or by changing the appearance and menu options of the app.

Properties panel - A panel of options that you can configure for your app. The screen shot above shows the web map title, the web map picker and a list of the layers in the map.

User - Opens a panel with information about the user currently logged in.

Shortcut icon - Opens the panel that provides links to Workflow Designer, Reporting, and the Web Designer if you are using the SaaS version of the software.

Configuration Panels

The settings for all the components of an app are configured in a series of panels that follow the structure of that component. For example, when you are configuring a map, the first panel contains settings for the map itself, including the title and its layers. The next panel contains options to edit fields. The next panel contains field settings.
