Download Geocortex Essentials

This section provides instructions for downloading the Geocortex Essentials distribution package. Geocortex Essentials is provided as a ZIP file containing two parts:

• Geocortex Essentials: The Geocortex Essentials installer installs Geocortex Essentials and its components and tools, Essentials Manager, Geocortex Essentials Workflow Designer, Geocortex Essentials Report Designer, and the Geocortex Post-Installation Configuration tool. The Post-Installation Configuration tool allows you to install Geocortex Core if Geocortex Core is not already installed on the server.

  Setting up a dual-server or multi-server Essentials system is an advanced scenario. Contact VertiGIS Studio Support to arrange a consultation. The time required to complete the set-up depends on the complexity of your environment. Please ensure that you have adequate Support hours available.

• Geocortex Viewer for HTML5: The framework for creating HTML5-based map viewers in Geocortex Essentials. During installation, Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 will be installed separately.

To download the software:

Step 1: Sign in to the Geocortex Community

1. On the Geocortex Community website, beside the search box, click LOGIN.

2. Sign in using your ArcGIS identity belonging to your ArcGIS Online organization.

3. Once you have signed in, in the navigation bar, click DOWNLOADS.

   The Geocortex Essentials distribution package is only visible if your organization has licensed the software. Other Geocortex products may be visible to organizations without a license in order to allow free trials.

Step 2: Download the Geocortex Essentials ZIP file

1. In the Geocortex Essentials area, click DOWNLOAD.

   This downloads the current version of Geocortex Essentials and Geocortex Viewer for HTML5. To download an older version, click Previous Versions, click the version that you want to download, and click the Geocortex Essentials [version] link.

2. Save the ZIP file to your computer.

3. Extract the installation files for Geocortex Essentials and Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 from the ZIP archive, then proceed to the Geocortex Essentials installation instructions.

   In addition to installing Geocortex Essentials, the Essentials installer installs Geocortex Core if necessary, Geocortex Essentials Report Designer, Geocortex Essentials Workflow Designer, and the Geocortex Language Tool.
