You can access and configure various settings in the Social Media workflows in Essentials. These settings allow you to specify parameters like time limits, the maximum number of requests and other useful settings for gathering Twitter and Instagram information.
To customize the Twitter Workflow:
Log into Geocortex Essentials Manager.
Click your AOP site to edit it.
On the Map page, click the Map Services tab.
In the sidebar, click Workflows.
Click beside the Twitter_Identifier workflow.
Click Next.
The Workflow Create/Edit Wizard opens.
In the Workflow Create/Edit Wizard, you can edit the following values:
_consumerKey: Paste in the consumer key of your organization's twitter account.
_consumerSecret: Paste in the consumer secret of the organization's twitter account.
geometry: LEAVE BLANK
guid: LEAVE BLANK
_hoursBackToFetch: Optional. Sets the earliest time to go back in time to include tweets in the query results. If you do not set a limit, the software keeps making requests until all the tweets for the specified number of hours have been retrieved.
_requestLimit: Optional. The maximum number of requests that should be made for a single identify request. The requestLimit * count is the maximum number of tweets an identify will return.
_query: Optional. You can enter a UTF-8, URL-encoded search query to a maximum of 500 characters, including operators. Queries may also be limited by complexity.
The following parameters can be used in this Twitter query and work as described in the Twitter Developer Documentation.
_language: Optional. Restricts tweets to the language you enter. Use the codes in ISO 639-1 code. Language detection is best-effort and may not be completely accurate.
_resultType: Optional. Specifies what type of search results you would prefer to receive. The current default is “mixed.” Valid values include:
* mixed : Include both popular and real-time results in the response.
* recent : Return only the most recent results in the response.
* popular : Return only the most popular results in the response.
_count: Optional. Restrict the number of tweets to return per request. You can set any number up to a maximum of 100. The default number of results to return is 10 results per request.
When you are ready, click Finish.
Click Save Site.
To customize the Instagram Identify Workflow:
Log into Geocortex Essentials Manager.
Click your AOP site to edit it.
On the Map page, click the Map Services tab.
In the sidebar, click Workflows.
Click beside the Instagram_Identifier workflow.
Click Next.
The Workflow Create/Edit Wizard opens.
In the Workflow Create/Edit Wizard, you can edit the following values:
_accessToken: Paste in the access token for your organization's Instagram account.
geometry: LEAVE BLANK
guid: LEAVE BLANK
_count: Optional. The number of Instagram posts to retrieve with each identify request.
_hoursBackToFetch: Optional. Set the earliest time to include in the identify results. If no request limit is set, it will continue to make requests until all the Instagrams for the specified number of hours have been retrieved.
_requestLimit: Optional. The maximum number of requests that the identifier should make for a single identify request. The _requestLimit * count is the maximum number of Instagrams an identify then returns.
