Upgrade Analytics

Use these procedures to upgrade an Analytics Hub or Agent when you have Analytics already installed.

The Upgrade Process

The process to upgrade Analytics includes the following high-level steps:

  1. Run the Geocortex Analytics.exe to update Analytics on the Hub server.

    It is a good idea to clear your browser cache before you open Analytics after the upgrade.
  2. Run the Geocortex Analytics.exe on each Agent server to upgrade Analytics.

Upgrade Analytics on a Hub

To upgrade Analytics on a Hub server:

  1. Navigate to the folder where you unzipped the upgrade package.

  2. Double-click the Geocortex Analytics.exe file.

    When the installer opens, the folder option is not available as you are upgrading a previous installation.

  3. Click Next.

    The Confirm Installation window appears.

  4. Click Install.

    Click Install.

    The Status updates you on each activity as the installation progresses.

    The Geocortex Core pop-up shows that Core is being installed.

    Do not click Cancel or Finish during the Core installation.

  5. When the confirmation message appears, click Finish.

Upgrade Analytics on an Agent

To upgrade from Analytics on an Agent server:

  1. Navigate to the folder where you unzipped the upgrade package.

  2. Double-click the Geocortex Analytics.exe file.

    When the installer opens, the folder option is not available as you are upgrading a previous installation.

  3. Click Next.

    The Confirm Installation window appears.

  4. Click Install.

    The Status updates you on each activity as the installation progresses.

    The Geocortex Core pop-up appears to indicate that Core is being installed.

    Do not click Cancel or Finish during the Core installation.

  5. When the confirmation message appears, click Finish.
