Upgrade Analytics 1.3.x to 1.4

Use these procedures to upgrade an Analytics Hub or Agent from version 1.3.x to 1.4. when:

Overview of the 1.3.x to 1.4.x Upgrade Process

The process to upgrade Analytics from 1.3 to 1.4.x includes the following high-level steps:

  1. Run the Geocortex Analytics.exe to update Analytics to 1.4.x on the Hub server.

It is a good idea to clear your browser cache before you open Analytics after the upgrade.
  2. Run the Uncluster Utility.exe on the Hub server.

It is important that you run the Uncluster Utility on the Hub server before you run it on the Agent servers.
  3. Create a new cluster with a unique name and secret.

  4. Run the Geocortex Analytics.exe on each Agent server to upgrade to Analytics 1.4.

  5. Run the Uncluster Utility.exe on each non-Hub server.

If you have three or more nodes in your cluster, shut down the Core Service on each non-Hub server. After you complete the Uncluster Utility on each server, stop the Core Service again to ensure that all the non-Hub servers do not have Core running when you uncluster the next machine.

Once you have upgraded and unclustered all the servers, restart the Core Service on each machine.

  4. Click Next.

    The Confirm Installation window appears.

  5. Click Install.

Do not click Cancel or Finish during the Core installation.

When the Core installation completes, the window updates to show an option to Run the Uncluster Utility.

If you need to uncluster the Hub server, we recommend that you do so now. However, you can run the utility later if you need to.

For more information about when to uncluster, see Unclustering Scenarios

  6. If you need to uncluster, leave the Run Uncluster Utility selected, and then click Finish.
